Here's a rarity: three Canadian preserve-book authors all together at a signing table. The occasion was last week's Mad for Marmalade event at Fort York.
You may be able to tell that I'm thrilled to bits to find myself seated next to (at left) the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair's five-time Grand Champion preserve maker Yvonne Tremblay, author of 250 Home Preserving Favorites, From Jams and Jellies to Marmalades and Chutneys (Robert Rose, 2010) and (centre) Pat Crocker of Riversong Herbals, author of the recently released Preserving, The Canning and Freezing Guide for all Seasons (Harper Collins, 2011), as well as many other books.
